Once dates and durations have been updated on the canvas (i.e. statused), the activities must be actualized to complete the update process. Once actualized, an object’s dates and dependencies remain fixed unless the object is purposely de-actualized. There are three ways to actualize an object. The first method described is best for actualizing a single object. The second method is best for actualizing a set of known objects. The last method is best for viewing both actualized and un-actualized objects simultaneously, and for sliding any non-progressed activities to the data date.
Once actualized, the object becomes outlined in blue. An activity starting but not finishing before the data date is known as a partially-actualized (or in-progress) activity. The actualized portion of an in-progress activity outlines in blue while the remaining duration maintains its original appearance. Only the un-actualized portion of an in-progress activity may be modified.

A Single Object
To actualize an individual object, double-click the object to open the Properties window.

Click Actualize next to Progress.
Click the OK button.
Or, right-click on the object and select Actualize.
Selected Objects
This window is the quickest way to actualize multiple known objects.
To do so, select the objects on the canvas.
Once selected, click from the menu bar.
Under Properties, check the box next to Actualized. Un-check to de-actualize.

NOTE: Each object has an individual tab and must be actualized within their respective tabs as noted above.
Click OK to complete and close the window.
Multiple Objects
To actualize multiple objects, click from the menu bar.
The Manage Schedule Progress… window opens, displaying any un-actualized (pending) activities on the top and any actualized activities on the bottom.

To actualize an activity, click the name in the Pending Objects list and click the Actualize button. The activity moves to the Actualized Objects list.
To de-actualize an activity, click on it in the Actualized Objects list and then click the De-actualize button. The activity moves to the Pending Objects list.
While clicking in the list, a range of activities or non-adjacent activities can be selected by holding down the Shift key or Ctrl key respectively.
To automatically move an activity that has not started, select it from the Pending Objects list and click the Slide to DD button (benchmarks and linked milestones do not slide).
If PolyTime is enabled, the activity jump will correspond with the schedule’s time unit. For example, if the user has set the base time unit for the schedule as hours, then the activity will jump to one hour after the data date. Otherwise, the time unit will always default to days. Any un-actualized successors will also be pushed in reaction to the change.
NOTE: If an attempt is made to slide an activity to the data date but that activity has any successors that have already been actualized (i.e. blocking objects), the activity will only jump to the blocking objects. A notification will appear and the blocking objects will be spotlighted in yellow until the user makes a change on the canvas, such as moving an object. The yellow box can also be cleared by choosing .
