NetPoint provides the ability to password protect any schedule. By default, a password is not required to open or to make changes to a NetPoint plan.
Setting a Password
To set a password, click from the menu bar. The Schedule Password window will open. By default, No password required is selected.

To activate this feature, first choose one of the two types of password protection available.
Password required for READ requires that the correct password be entered to view or modify the schedule.
Password required for MODIFY requires that the correct password be entered to modify the schedule, but this option also allows the schedule to be viewed even if the user does not know the password.
After the type of password is selected, enter the desired password into the two text fields. Click OK to exit. If the passwords entered are too short or do not match, corresponding error messages will display.
Opening a Password-protected Schedule
If a schedule has been protected with a password to read, the following dialog will open.

If you do not know the password, contact the creator of the schedule. If the password is lost or forgotten, please contact support@pmatechnologies.com.
If a schedule has been protected with a password to modify, the following dialog will open.

If the password is known, choose the Use Password option.
If unknown, choose the Read-Only option to view the schedule.
Changes can be made, but saving, import/export, and cut, copy, and paste are all disabled.
Removing a Password
To remove a password, choose from the menu bar. The Schedule Password window opens.
Make sure that the password text fields are empty, and then select No password required. Click OK to exit.
NOTE: In order to set or remove a password, be sure to save the file after exiting the Schedule Password window.
